The start box for these walks is attached to the exterior wall to the left of the entrance of the Tualatin Hills Fire & Rescue Station #266 located at 13900 SW Brockman Rd, Beaverton 97008, . It is available "24-7", so you can walk these any time you please though remember to walk during daylight hours. NOTE: The parking may be limited at the fire station and the best bet for parking would be on Davies Street, near the station. The nearby Hiteon School is undergoing a major renovation so there is no parking available at the school.
SUMMERLAKE PARK STROLL: 10K Walk, rated 1 ... A level saunter through nice neighborhoods and an excursion around and through Summerlake Park. This 28-acre park offers many secluded pathways, water, restrooms, bridges, wildlife viewing, and a nice break from the bustle of city streets. GREENWAY PARK, 11K Walk, 1+ ... This walk meanders through nice neighborhoods onto secluded pedestrian pathways to the ever-popular Greenway Park. Midway through the walk are ample opportunites for dining. Return through more beautiful park trails to Greenway Park where you can stretch at the workout station or rest in the shade. PARKS OF MURRAYHILL (NEW FOR 2008), 10K Walk, 2+ ... Explore the neighborhoods and parks of the Murrayhill and Sexton Mountain areas. You'll have access to several scenic views of the Beaverton area and Mt. Hood. About 2K of the walk is along the Powerline Park trail for the 2+ rating. Directions:
From Wilsonville and I-5 Northbound: Take Highway 217 to the Scholls Ferry/Progress exit. Turn right on Scholls Ferry. Turn left on Hall Boulevard, then left on Greenway. Greenway becomes Brockman at SW 125th. The Fire station is just past Hiteon Elementary School. The start box is attached to the wall on the outside of the building, on the immediate left of the entrance.
From Portland and I-5 Southbound: Take Highway 26 West, then Highway 217 toward Beaverton. Take the Progress Exit and turn Right on Hall Boulevard. Continue as above.
